John Roby Parsons was born 30 March 1871, Trade, Johnson Co., TN, died 2 January 1950, Buffalo, Johnson Co., Wyoming and was a son of Henry M. (Martin?) Parsons (1842-1922) and Sarah "Mattie" Forrester (1849-1893). Naomi Diana Ellen Osborne was born 17 May 1871, Shouns, Johnson Co., TN, died 17 November 1959, Sheridan, Wyoming and was a daughter of Harrison Murphy Osborne (1848-1880) and Kesiah Delphia Price (1847-?).

Their children were:

Lura O. (Octavia?) Parsons, b. 18 November 1893, Shouns, Johnson Co., TN and d. 9 November 1911, Mountain City, Tennessee. She married Joshua W. Nichols, 22 October 1910 in Mountain City, TN.
Kemp Parsons, b. 1895 Johnson Co., TN and d. 1913, Bozeman, Montana
Henry Harrison Parsons, b. 13 January 1898, Mountain City, Tennessee and d. 27 December 1967, Bozeman, Montana. He maried Minnie Willinia Adams, 19 January 1922 in Oregon.
Elvara Sarah Evelyn Parsons, b. 23 Marcy 1900, Damascus, Washington Co., TN and d. 23 February 1975, Sheridan, Wyoming. She married Frederick C. LaFlair, 5 February 1920.
Tarrance Bessie Ellen Parsons, b. 2 September 1902, Mountain City, TN and d. 10 May 1997, Conrad, Pondera Co., Montana. She married Esley Lee "Tuck" Dunahoo in Bozeman, Gallatin, Montana.
Marvin Matthew Parsons, b. 29 October 1905, Mountain City, TN and d. 12 June 1970, Oak Harbor Washington. He married Madge Smith in Bozeman, Gallatin, Montana.
Robert Russell Parsons, b. 2 May 1908, Mountain City, TN and d. 5 March 1973, Tacoma, Washington. He married Vivian Marie Crilly
Farrell Filmore Parsons, b. 6 August 1910, Johnson Co., TN and d. 5 April 1978, Buffalo, Johnson Co., Wyoming. He married 1st Ella Nora Bugey and 2nd Ethel Woodsmall in Bozeman, Montana
