Dear Friends, The handwritten notes you see are from Ollie Etta May Dunn who married John Lindy Hawkins, June 15, 1998 in Johnson County, Tennessee. She was born March 22,1879 and died May 8, 1942. She was my grandmother who died before I was born. Though I never knew her, I have gained a lot insight about her. Checking her notes has revealed that she desired to record history of her family. My father, Fred McNeil Hawkins, had her notes till his death. I only regret that his loaning of them years earlier resulted in the loss of most of the history of the Hawkins family. I am sure somewhere they are out there and hope one day I can have them returned. My father passed and I became the keeper of these notes. Though I do not know most of the Dunn line, I desire to share her work lest it get lost too. To Ollie Etta May Dunn, I dedicate these notes.
